ABOUT THE ROLE
The Architectural/Engineering Project Manager, will report to our Design Director, will be design focused and lead our in-house project team in managing and coordinating clients, project design and submission requirements in multiple states and jurisdictions and overseeing the generation of clear diagrams, architectural and engineering technical drawings, and code analysis of volumetric steel modular buildings and permit sets.
You will manage a variety of building types for the production of both permit sets and fabrication sets in a variety of facility types using Revit/AutoCAD for volumetric steel modular residential, healthcare, commercial, multi-family, hospitality, and industrial buildings, both in traditional construction modalities, as well as through new innovative modes and methods using new materials and technologies to create better, stronger, lighter, more-sustainable, water and mold resistant, energy efficient buildings.
You will work collaboratively with our outstanding team of dedicated creative teammates, including architects, fabricators, contractors, and engineers, in the continuous development of company standards for Revit based construction/production drawings.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Manage and coordinate the relationship between clients and our in-house design professionals providing support towards project-related design execution. Lead in the preparation of project plans, diagrams, renderings, and presentations.
Oversee the research to ensure all statutory and code requirements and project design concepts are achieved throughout multiple states and jurisdictions.
Independently and under limited direction, manage as part of a multi-disciplinary team, design, selection, coordination, and architectural/engineering detailing.
Manage preparation of design and presentation efforts utilizing Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and other programs as required.
Manage in house and third-party team to develop and manage the REVIT model to produce plans, elevations, and sections. With limited direction, possess the ability to produce REVIT section and plan details within all architectural/engineering phases.
Prepare preliminary design sketches of small to moderate-sized site plans for client review.
Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents.
Manage the development of design and concept drawings.
Manage coordination of engineering systems with engineers and architects of record.
Take on a leadership role within the team regarding client management and expectations in line with the executed contract, including establishing and maintaining project design budget.
Review manufacturing & fabrication drawing submittals with assistance from the project team.
Attend field site inspections, which frequently involves a physical walk-through of the site.
Manage and lead project team meetings.
May perform other duties as required.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering or a directly-related field from an accredited university.
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Professional License in Architecture or Engineering preferred; being in process to professional licensure is acceptable.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign
Possess and demonstrate business acumen; have ability to implement process improvement
Experience in designing and producing architectural and/or engineering documentation for medium to large scale projects
Basic understanding of envelope detailing and interior construction needed
Ability to complete a background check with successful results
