Job Summary

This position works collaboratively with senior administrators across the Provost Office, senior academic leaders in each college or school (n=13), and hundreds of other academicians at Purdue University, West Lafayette. This position will ensure the successful implementation of, reliable reporting from, and data-informed decision-making supported by our new IT solution. This software focuses on tracking activities that surround teaching/learning, service/engagement, and research/creative activities across our institution.

Generally, this position is responsible for:
Coordinating and managing expectations surrounding this new tool within the Provost Office and each of our colleges or schools
Implementing and ensuring successful, sustainable, longitudinal, and ubiquitous use of the IT solution

The expected tasks:
Manage vendor relationship
Lead a group of “Success Coaches” and facilitate their tasks across each college and school
Gather college-specific and accreditation reporting priorities or requirements
Coordinate data integration with central offices
Work with IDA+A staff to manage data import feeds, write custom reports, and blend the data with other sources or information to support decision making and illustrate impact
Develops healthy and collaborative relationships among the faculty and staff of PWL
Develop effective, clear, concise, and precise methods of communicating with leaders, faculty and staff on a regular basis; Use language that resonates, position change management in the right context and focus on solving real problems across various levels of the institution
Continuously evaluates and improves the efficiency of systems and processes surrounding tracking, monitoring, and reporting on academia activities

Your prior experience
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Education, Communication, Health and Human Sciences, Business or a related field
Four or more years of higher education experience
A role in successfully implementing campus-wide IT solutions for faculty use
Training users on how to use a new-to-them IT solution
Managing change or change management
Working and collaborating with a software vendor and negotiating custom applications
Working with faculty members
Working with top-level administrators
Reporting data to federal/state government or other external agencies is preferred
Documented understanding of accreditation and data requirements related to teaching, learning, and research activities
Experience translating or code-switching between “administrator speak” and “faculty language or semantics”

Being a university-wide influencer: You can motivate faculty and staff that continuously go above and beyond, past their teaching, research and service obligations
Persistent – ability to repeat an effort many times with consistent zeal
Excellent written communication and first-rate oral communication or presentation skills. In other words, detail oriented and able to adapt information in imperfect or diverse forms into a standardized, optimized format. Successful at developing and delivering instructions to others.
Equity-minded: Aware or conversations or literature surrounding equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workforce of higher education
Phenomenally organized along with ability to be a highly independent worker
