The Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME) is a non-profit, national trade membership association for independent mortgage brokers. We are dedicated to providing exclusive technology, resource development, and top networking opportunities for our 40,000+ members in order to continuously support the growth of the wholesale channel.
We are currently searching for an experienced Advocacy Content Specialist to join our collaborative, high-energy team. This role will coordinate and develop all digital and print content necessary for the Association for our advocacy and Government Affairs initiatives to support our lobbying efforts in Federal and State legislation. Reporting to the VP of Brand Strategy, this role requires an individual with a professional and proactive nature, impeccable communication and organizational skills, an understanding of preparing content for the web, media, SEO, and a passion for digital media.

Leading the creation of original, engaging content and written materials for AIME’s Government Affairs Committee and our lobbying partners.
Managing long-form written content including, but not limited to press releases, legislative updates, blogs, case studies, whitepapers, scripts, landing pages, presentations, infographics, and training materials
Identifying legislative and advocacy opportunities that further the association’s mission
Writing, editing, and proofreading all advocacy focused content to ensure alignment with brand voice and core values
Researching and sourcing advocacy related studies
Brainstorming with team members to develop new content ideas to support our advocacy initiatives
Targeting a specific set of keywords for all the articles written and published
Monitoring housing industry regulations, legislative initiatives, and activities and preparing advocacy analysis
Ensuring that all content pieces are consistently up-to-date and the website is a professional, accurate reflection of the company brand and services
Developing and maintaining a forward-thinking content calendar alongside the Content Manager with a focus on legislative initiatives
Regularly monitoring and tracking performance against targets for content marketing and advocacy initiatives
Maintaining clear communication with Marketing Team, leadership stakeholders, and internal teams
Maintains various organizational processes across projects
Other tasks as assigned to support content development

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or related work experience, ideally in Communications, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or another relevant field
At least 3-5 years of experience with detailed knowledge of content preparation and developing legislative-focused written materials
Strong skills in MS Office and Google programs
Adept at keyword placement and SEO best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expert time management skills and highly organized
Professional demeanor appropriate for meeting with government officials, lobbyists, and Capitol Hill staffers
Experience with content management systems and other popular marketing tools (WordPress, Canva, Adobe Design programs, and Salesforce)
A self-starter with passion and initiative who contributes to a positive team atmosphere
Ability to prioritize tasks and track multiple simultaneous projects
Can work collaboratively leading a team as well as independently
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Knowledge of digital channels and social media platforms and understanding of the roles they play in B2B and B2C
Creativity and passion for developing original content
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing demands
Interest in real estate or the mortgage industry – experience in the mortgage industry is a plus, but not required
Passion to connect with our community and build relationships with our members

Our office headquarters are in Philadelphia, PA. This position is ideal for residents in the Washington, D.C. area that have the ability to travel to Philadelphia as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
