About the opportunity
Department Description
AMO Production Services provides systems development, implementation and application support to Middle Office and Back Office for our Investment Management Business. Some of the key business functions we support are Trade Settlement, Pricing, Reconciliation, Fund Positions, Escrow and Fund Accounting. AMO Production Services has to support highly business critical applications which need quick response time, timely resolution and accurate business communication. The applications use multiple stacks of technologies and are hosted on variety of platforms.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate would be expected to be a part of AMO Production Support team; and provide Level 1 & 2 support to the assigned systems. Key aspect of the role is to provide the production support for FIL AMO Business facing applications.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for support operations including health checks, business service requests, production incident investigations and root cause analysis with focus and emphasis on supporting the platforms on behalf of the Asia business.
Ensure adherence to service management standards including incident, problem, change and release management
Responsible for supporting critical investment management applications, including internally developed systems, and their integration with upstream and downstream systems.
Follow-up on issues ensuring appropriate remediation tasks are completed
Collaborate with delivery teams, ensuring support requirements are met prior to production deployment
Responsible for implementing changes in controlled environments
Ensure operational stability by continually improving processes and implementing proactive monitoring
Willing to work in a 24×7 environment participating in an on-call rota as well as night and weekend work
Experience and Qualifications Required
Hands-on experience supporting the following technologies:
UNIX shell scripting (AIX, LINUX preferred)
Database concepts (preferably Oracle) & SQL scripting
Java / J2EE applications.
Knowledge or prior work experience on FIS/Sungard InvestOne (Asset Arena) is preferable
Experience working with enterprise messaging products (preferably MQ Series)
Experience using Scheduling tools (preferably Control-M).
Exposure of working in maintenance and support environment.
Ability to analyse complex problems in a structured manner and demonstrate multitasking capabilities.
Flexible and approachable team-worker.
Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Degree level qualification or equivalent.
Basic understanding of new tech stacks like Kafka, AWS
Understanding of the Investment Management industry.
Basic understanding of shell scripting & Python
Maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the company and a favourable image of the team
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally to arrive at a solution
Must have an eye for detail and analyse/relate to the business problem in hand
Flexible and positive attitude, openness to change
