Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment will coordinate the admissions processes for the College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM). Verify, evaluate, and prepare student admissions files including transcript verification for the Admissions Committee. Plan, organize and execute PVM admissions events (Interview days/PVM Preview Days). Represent the College at recruiting events, admissions receptions, and outreach events. Deliver an engaging and informative prospective student experience during visits, tours, and appointments.

Bachelor’s degree in student services or closely related field
4 years of experience in admissions field or related experience
Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience (Associate’s and 6 years or High School diploma and 8 years of experience)
Strong word processing, proofreading, and database management skills
Must have ability to learn new technologies, i.e. Banner, Kira Talent, and create standard and ad hoc reports from each system
Must be able to work closely in a team setting, tolerate frequent interruptions, multi-task and follow directions
Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
Ability to work under pressure, communicate, organize, plan and make independent decisions essential
Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality and data accuracy
Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal communication skills

Higher education recruiting and admissions experience, in particular experience with professional or graduate programs
Experience with a national or common application process (i.e. CAS)
