About the Position:

We are seeking a driven Associate Teacher that operates with a high sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic. Candidates for this position do NOT need to speak Hebrew. This position is ideal for someone new to teaching wishing to grow into a lead teacher position.
Job Responsibilities:
Co-teach with lead teachers
Desire to grow into a lead teacher position
Provide in-house substitute teaching coverage and maternity leave coverage for teachers, if needed
Write lesson plans and grade students work with support from lead teacher and leadership
Provide individual and small group student instruction
Full participation in summer and school-year professional development, as well as regular meetings with an instructional coach
Strong desire to collaborate with other faculty and instructional leaders to discuss student work and ensure curricular coherence
Passion for elementary education, social-emotional development, and the ability to connect with and motivate, individually and collectively, a diverse group of students
A strong commitment to all students with the belief that all students can learn and must be held to high academic standards
Boundless energy and enthusiasm for working with students and other adults in the building
A person who believes in the critical importance of diversity in the life of a school
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Masters degree preferred
Elementary teaching experience preferred
Hold NYS certification or working towards certification required
State Testing experience strongly preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Legally authorized to work in the USA
