Job Details

Joint Venture Restaurant Group is looking for a Bar Manager to join our team!

A Bar Manager at Joint Venture Restaurant Group will be responsible for the following:

Adding positive energy to the daily operations of the restaurant.
Assisting in the hiring process for the front of house including fielding first round interviews, monitoring stagiaires, and passing along last round interviews for approval by GM and/or Owners.
Assist in on-boarding for the front and back of house new hires.
Maintain the cleanliness of the entire facility.
Learn and assist in FOH ordering including beverage, opex, disposables.
Understand and manage costs in the restaurant, including receiving product, entering invoices, overseeing inventories and daily spending.
Understand and manage labor, OT and break penalties.
Understand and manage FOH scheduling
Create a communicative, open environment with the FOH and BOH managers and specifically the GM and CDC.
Develop a good working knowledge of the financial aspects of the restaurant including the PCL, Petty Cash Sheet, Inventory documents and Inventory Reporting.
Communicate all challenges that arise on a daily basis with appropriate supervisors and problem solve together.
R&D for cocktail menu, as well as ensuring consistency in the cocktail program.
Executing and maintaing beverage inventory
Other duties as assigned.
