United Way seeks an experienced bi-lingual curriculum specialist to develop a library of early childhood curriculum activities in each of the five developmental domains and support family childcare educators in developmental screening processes using Ages and Stages Questionnaires. The Curriculum Specialist will train and coach family childcare educators on our DRIVE curriculum course where family childcare educators partner with parents to complete the Ages and Stages Questionnaire for children. The Curriculum Specialist will also be responsible for assisting with DRIVE data analysis, identifying areas of need for individual children and program curriculum needs, and delivering training on how to access the curriculum resources on the Shared Services MA web platform. The ideal candidate has experience in early childhood curriculum development and extraordinary attention to detail. Familiarity with family childcare and ASQ screening is a plus. This position will support systems- and community-level change for young children in United Way’s footprint, through supporting the sustainability of the childcare field.
Please Note: this is a 3-year grant funded position.

Train and coach family childcare educators on the DRIVE ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) screening process
Partner with family childcare educators to analyze ASQ screening results
One-on-one coaching and ongoing technical assistance using ASQ Online system
Develop a curriculum library of early childhood activities to strengthen skills in each developmental domain to be housed on the Shared Services MA web platform.
Conduct professional development for family childcare educators on effective strategies to use in the classroom in response to ASQ screening results.
Conduct professional development for other early childhood education partners on the Shared Services website curriculum library.
Hold periodic community of practice meetings
Train family childcare educators and other instructional staff in new content or technology
Execute program outcomes; perform tasks related to the grant as needed
Represent the organization warmly and professionally
Communicating impeccably via email, phone and zoom with partners

REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate for this position will have:

2-4 years experience working in early childhood related field and in developing and implementing ECE curriculum
Degree in Early Childhood or related field – preferred
Language: Bilingual – Spanish and English
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Previous training experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Organized and able to create multiple schedules
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Flexibility with virtual work recognizing that this position may be expected to eventually travel throughout United Way’s footprint once it is safe to do so.
Familiarity with Ages and Stages Questionnaire screening tool a plus.
Evening hours required
