37 Farm is currently looking for a Branch Manager in the Dallas area
Job Summary:
37 Farm is seeking a driven individual for a full-time position overseeing all aspects of business management for an 85-acre Tree Farm and Nursery with a focus on Team management Budgeting, Sales and Inventory Planning. The ideal candidate will have a solid business understanding, strong leadership abilities, and great customer relations skills. They are the type of leader who motivates and encourages the team toward greater efficiency and has a vision for future growth.
Positions reporting to this position: Farm Manager and Farm Administrator Duties and Responsibilities

Managing and building a team of 6-8 by training, supervising evaluating, coaching, and hiring, orientation and firing. (2 direct reports)
Holds team and weekly one on one meetings with direct reports.
Manage the Farm budget to achieve sales goals, company spending, and profits
Oversee Payroll, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Operations functions
Procure all materials needed for daily farm activities including plants, soils, containers, etc.
Forecast plant needs for future months and ensure that investment is maximized by planting crops with high margin yield
Maintain relationships with existing customers and help to grow business with new customers in the TX market
Quote materials to customers and enter sales orders
Arrange logistics for delivery of customer orders and maintain scheduling calendar
Performs other incidental and related duties as required.
Analyze labor need and hire as needed to maintain growth goals.
Develop and manage yearly budget and monthly performance goals for farm operations
Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (refers to job, not incumbent):Required Skills/Abilities

Results-driven and customer-focused mindset
Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written)
Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgets
Understanding of inventory management and forecasting driven by turn metrics, contracts, and sales data
Desire to learn all aspects of running a business and willingness to get directly involved wherever needed to support the team
Ability to create a positive environment for employees which encourages teamwork and collaboration
Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Quickbooks Online
1-3 years’ experience in the green industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture/other related field or business management preferred

Educational Requirements:

A degree in Horticulture, Arboriculture, or equivalent advanced plant and horticultural knowledge with hands-on experience nursery field-production is essential.

Required Certification/Licensure:
· Valid state driver’s license. Qualified to drive company vehicles.Experience Requirements:

Three years’ experience leading and management of others, industry experience is preferred.

Special Skills Required:

Ability to read, write and speak English and speak Spanish; basic team building and organizational skills. Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs, move about the work site, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork. Exposed to dust, pollen, chemicals, cold and heat in an external environment. Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.

Working Conditions:

External environment with all weather and terrain exposure. Exposed to equipment that may cause cuts and significant bodily injury. Safety equipment includes gloves, work boots, company uniform, earplugs and safety glasses
