Alcon is looking to hire an Brand Manager VR and Visualization at Bangalore . This position is responsible for preparing and implementing yearly Marketing Plans for the assigned products and establishing objectives and programs related to Marketing and Sales including advertising and promotion, market research, training, promotional events for the assigned brands & new brand launches. There is medium responsibility for Strategy / Market Focus. Analyze and observe markets and competition related to his/her products market research. Develop and participate in sales planning in line with departmental and company objectives. Develop in-depth understanding of market situation and development via cooperation in the field / co-visits with sales force / Area Manager (total field contact approx. 25% of time). Evaluate success of selected activities qualitatively (customer / sales rep. comments) or quantitatively (market research data etc) and benchmark Alcon’s performance versus key competitors which includes industry and competitor findings into reports and proposals.
Major Accountabilities (Describe the main results of the job to be achieved )
Responsible for creation & implementation of strategies for given product portfolio within agreed framework with the Marketing Head / Marketing Manager.
Plan, coordinate and implement activities directed towards the target customer groups: ophthalmologists & staff in private clinics, hospitals, Key accounts & at Centers of Excellence hospitals throughout India.
Propose and implement key brand promotional projects/campaign (e.g. mailing drives, advertising/promotional campaigns, briefing documents for sales force representatives, etc.).
Responsible for successful launch of new products & all future upgrades/ improvements within the existing product portfolio.
Conceptualize, monitor and follow-through on Share of Voice (SOV) activities (Congress, Peer to Peer meetings, Round Table Discussions (RTDs) center visits and other customer engagement programs)
Key Opinion Leaders development & management by identifying & working closely with the sales team
Develop Plan proposals and implementation of communication strategy that increases sales in given segment, market shares in units and values
Understand customer insights about product market & competitive activities through field visits, customer meetings and close coordination with sales force.
Recommend promotional objectives, target accounts, segmentation of customers and target segment specific activities in order to maximize sales force efficiency in translating the product strategy to the market.
Help achieve the market share objectives and sales mix for the brand portfolio.
Provide feedback to Marketing Leadership and maintain regular communication and support with the sales team, in order to achieve best fit between India/ Asia/global strategy and local marketing / sales tactics (Example: Sampling, Equipment demo, Centre visits etc) opportunities and actions.
Responsible for ensuring that the inventory levels are optimally managed at regular
intervals in conjunction with S & OP Periodical and timely reporting of Marketing activities, results, opportunities & exposures to marketing leadership.
Working with the regulatory/legal to ensure that promotional materials are as per the local laws/regulations
Working within the framework of all Alcon internal compliance policies like LENS ( Policy for Health care Practitioners engagement), Foreign Corrupt Policy Act (Corrupt Policy Act) , Anti bribery etc)
Involvement in market research for short & long term market analysis for finding out the opportunities & gaps of the product market
Analyze reports on distribution of samples & promo materials, to ensure compliance as per marketing plan.
Involvement in incentive, pricing, schemes & profitability of the respective brands .
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
University graduate in medicine, pharmacy, natural sciences / business.
Overall 6+ years of experience as Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Experience (Sales Force)
Proficient in English
