SUMMARYUnder general supervision, prepare, season, and cooks simple breakfast items. If authorized, may order supplies and maintain breakfast bar service area to high cleanliness standards and restock items as necessary. Must be attentive to guests needs and be engaged to provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed by management. To know and apply all hotel standards that are applicable to your department. Prepares a wide variety of breakfast food items according to prescribed recipes. Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils, and equipment. Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the kitchen, its equipment, and other areas as appropriate. Prepares reports and performs administrative duties as assigned. Attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies; detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions. Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Take inventories of required items and submits orders for products. Reinforce and enforce all relevant safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures. Maintain a high score by Health Department standards. Maintain excellent levels of sanitation and full compliance with operational heath department requirements.

QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEA minimum of 6 month experience as a Breakfast Attendant with at least two of those months in a hospitality setting. Must have sanitation certificate, Food handler card.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
