The Marketing Communication Department (MarCom) oversees all marketing strategies for UMB and its subsidiaries, including strategic corporate communication, interactive marketing, special events for associates and customers, multimedia production and community relations. We strive to provide high-quality strategic consultation, expertise and unparalleled client service to all we serve.

As the Content Marketing Analyst, you will strategically aggregate, analyze and synthesize our content data to deliver actionable insights that will help us advance the company’s content marketing and management practices. This role will play an instrumental part in helping optimize and elevate new and existing assets to better tell our brand’s story.

How you will spend your time:

Analyze, measure and track content performance across channels;

Organic search: Analyze Google Analytics metrics and draw actionable insights from data,

Email: Analyze email metrics and track content performance through audience engagement,

Digital campaigns: Track performance for content used in marketing campaigns,

Social: Leverage our social reports in overall content performance analysis,

Website: Report on pageviews, referral sources, user journeys from blog to website and website to blog,

Conversions: Identify, implement, and measure intuitive conversion journeys originating from value-add content;

Organic search research to review content opportunities, content performance and additional reporting to maintain content relevance and efficacy;

Competitor content audits and research;

Content trend research across various business areas within the company;

WordPress administration, including uploading and optimizing content, identifying content refresh opportunities based on ranking and high-performing pieces;

Content architecture and formatting – optimizing meta data, layout, features, graphics, multimedia to best attract organic traffic.

We are excited to talk to you if you have:

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or related fields

2+ years working on a content team in roles such as writing, editing, publishing

OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background

Experience analyzing data to tell a story and make recommendations

Draw meaningful and/or actionable insights and trends from data and trends;

Comfort and familiarity with authoring HTML and basic coding for blog content administration;

Ability to build succinct and clear reports from data;

Strong analytical mindset and critical thinking skills;

Detail oriented;

Ability to handle multiple strategic projects and priorities with efficiency and accuracy;

In-depth understanding of SEO best practices for organic growth and management;

Knowledge of content marketing and omnichannel delivery methods
