As Content Marketing Manager – Retail Investor Marketing with Hines, you will join the marketing team responsible for promoting Hines-sponsored investment offerings to financial professionals and their clients. As the artisan in the content ecosystem, the Content Marketing Manager must craft compelling content from rough concepts, messaging, audience insights, solution value propositions and industry information – all tailored for the retail audience. Candidates must also be able to tactically support the development and execution of a wide variety of marketing efforts and initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Writing/Editing: Develop content for print and digital marketing materials to serve financial professionals, shareholders and potential investors.
Utilize content briefs and templates that follow brand, editorial and framework guidelines to write and edit engaging content
Interview SMEs and other stakeholders or sources whose input should be reflected in content
Work with content input documents such as firm messaging and Hines research papers and data
Leverage industry trends, the Hines brand, and value propositions, to ensure quality and relevance in content creation
Write and edit an array of externally facing short- and medium-form content assets, mentioned herein
Email Marketing: Create content for email campaigns targeting financial professionals; coordinate with the marketing automation manager on timing, audience targeting and dynamic content capabilities.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work with various internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals in the process of developing materials.
Marketing Partner: Serve as a resource for various departments by generating content in response to requests for materials, such as videos, onboarding email campaigns, webinar promotions, invitations, ads, tradeshow materials and conference collateral.
Project Management: Take on initiatives such as template overhauls, website buildouts, digital ad campaigns and more as needs arise.
Brand Guardian: Ensure consistency of branding, tone of voice and quality of all investor marketing materials, both in terms of writing style and visual look and feel.
Knowledge Management: Work with fund teams and graphic designers to update and maintain print and digital marketing materials, web content and email campaigns to ensure they reflect the latest data and usher them through the compliance approval process.
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, advertising, marketing or other related field from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required.
Eight or more years of relevant content marketing experience; financial services industry writing experience preferred.
Well versed in AP writing standards.
Excellent writing and editing skills, including journalistic storytelling skills; understanding of how to craft engaging content.
Must be extremely detail-oriented and conscientious due to the highly regulated environment of financial services marketing.
Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization to obtain information and approvals.
Technical proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable email marketing platform is a plus.
Flexibility to learn new topics, adjust to changing direction and balance multiple projects at the same time.
Enthusiastic self-starter with ability to work with a minimum level of supervision once acclimated to the job.
