Guild is hiring for a Content Operations Writer. This role produces omni-channel knowledge content for both internal and external audiences, including knowledge base and help desk articles, templated email and chat responses, and other support content.Our ideal candidate is an accomplished technical writer and developing content strategist who can partner with various business units to deliver concise, accurate information to our teams and consumers.As a Technical Writer you will:
Run point on assigned projects that improve the overall user experience of knowledge:
Evaluate requests to determine appropriate next steps.
Build positive relationships with partners and set clear expectations about project work.
Identify knowledge gaps and recommend workable solutions.
Create content and evaluate its performance
Write a broad spectrum of content — from SOPs to articles to chat macros—for various systems and use cases.
Pull analytic reports or interview users, interpret results, and recommend content changes to improve user experiences.
Understand best practices, apply them to assignments, and explain/advocate for strategies with partners.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in assigned content areas.
Review others’ writing and help them grow their technical writing skills
You are a strong fit for this role if you have: Required competencies
5+ years experience in technical writing, with proven skills in infographic development, process documentation, and help desk content; demonstrable experience creating desk instructions
2+ years experience creating and reviewing analytics to evaluate content performance
Professional working experience with KMS/CMS tools and publishing workflows
HTML and Markdown; experience in Illustrator, InDesign, or similar design tools
Experience in benefits or customer service operations
Familiarity or experience in user experience (UX) design concepts, as well as web accessibility
Experience writing microcopy and chatbot dialogue
