Summary of Position:

We are seeking a talented Creative Director to join our Creative Services team in support of new business initiatives including, but not limited to, RFP responses. The Creative Director is a hands on project leader, deeply involved in collaborative concept ideation and ultimately responsible for the experience design direction and development for culturally impactful brands. They are a creative first – and responsible for the design output as a method to bring creative concepts visually to life.

This person is an innovator, a storyteller, a communicator and culturally connected. They are deeply curious about the intersection of culture and design and how it impacts consumer behavior. An experience design veteran that will counsel internal stakeholders, develop transcendent ideas, cultivate, and grow our design expertise and authority, while continually pushing and elevate the design output at the project level. They are ahead of the trends in architecture, branding, music, fashion, art, and tech. They are a leader, a team player, a mentor, and a downright overachiever. They want to change the world and the role our brands play in it.

You will report directly into SVP Creative Services and be responsible to EVP, Account Services and Business Development, managing a wide variety of internal and freelance design resources as necessary to execute all work at a high level.

Role Priorities:

Serve as a collaborative member of new business core team, mutually responsible to the Creative Strategist, New Business Director and Bid Producer for the ultimate success of a program.
Develop fresh and unique design solutions to the project’s diverse lineup of challenges, bringing to life the core team’s strategy through high-quality design solutions rooted in inclusivity.
Oversee the experience design direction leveraging experiential, graphic and presentation design.
Work closely with the other members of the project team to ensure designs are reflective of the creative strategy and deliver against the project brief, constraints, and budget.

Job Responsibilities:

Design Standards: Maintain a creative standard at NVE that seeks to continually push the boundaries and develop fresh design solutions and inspire your designers to do the same.
Creative Recommendation: Take ownership for the creative recommendation as a collaborative partner and come to the table with ideas and solutions leadership to develop ground-breaking creative concepts and beautiful design solutions.
POV: Maintain a consistent strong point of view and be able to confidently articulate creative ideas internally and externally.
Experience Design: Set the design direction and tone per project and effectively communication this vision to the full project team.
Asset Creation: Lead the development of design assets required to bring the creative direction to life. Determine which assets and styles are required to accurately communicate the strategy and design to the client.
Teamwork: Develop cross functional relationships within the project teams that lead to trust and greater efficiencies.
Management: Responsible for the management of all assigned internal and freelance design resources, effectively communicating creative direction, project deliverables and timelines and ensuring a high level of quality control.
Mentorship: Mentor assigned designers on a per project basis to grow creatively through brainstorming sessions, & concept execution.
Presentation: Present proposals directly to clients and be able to articulate and sell a concept effectively.
Independent Problem Solving: Be able to identify problems and develop solutions quickly.
Budget Management: Ensure that proposed designs fall within the project scope and budget.


Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Scenic Design, Architecture, Interior Design Industrial Design or similar and/or training in art and technology, computer/digital art.
Track record of exemplary creative execution with 10+ years’ experience. Agency experience preferred.
Experience designing multicultural marketing campaigns, design concepts, and programming is preferred.
Passionate about the role brands play in culture, events and experiences with a proven ability to weave culture into design solutions.

Ability to work and thrive as a member of a team in a fast-paced creative deadline driven environment with multiple projects.
Skillfully manage a wide variety of design disciplines to execute the project objectives.
Must be able to work creatively within a budget.
Strong creative and problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and meticulous follow through.
Strong communication skills: pictorial, written and verbal.
Proficient in industry software. Shows initiative to acquire new technical skills to amplify knowledge & design abilities.
Positive can-do attitude. Self-Motivated, energetic, and organized.
Desire to positively influence the culture and attitudes of the creative services department and company as a whole.
