POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
** Position can be 100% Remote and work anywhere in the USA.
The Digital Content Manager will support the development and management of marketing and organic social media content. This role will perform a variety of tasks, including executing against the company’s annual organic social media strategy, including monitoring and reporting on performance; managing and developing digital content for company website, various marketing materials and campaigns; and conduct user testing to help drive marketing content.
This individual must have especially strong writing skills, as well as a strong knowledge of marketing and social media strategies, content management systems and social media channels. The Digital Content Manager must be able to successfully work with key stakeholders to understand the requirements for marketing requests, present deliverables, meet tight deadlines, as well as coordinate the efforts to facilitate projects and ensure an integrated, consistent voice throughout the marketing mix.
MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
Mange Organic Social Media Channels
ESA organic social media channels include Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and supporting HR efforts on LinkedIn.
Create and execute against a monthly content calendar that supports the overall social media strategy to drive revenue and traffic through esa.com, as well as increase followers, engagement and brand awareness across all social media platforms, including:
Working with Creative team to create social posts in various formats (jpegs, video, gifs, carousels, stories, etc.)
Writing captions and posting on social media channels
Supporting all campaign efforts across social channels
Conceptualizing and implementing social media campaigns to support email acquisition efforts and follower growth
Managing social media boosting budget to ensure all paid efforts behind organic social media support overall strategy
Managing platform to schedule posts and track follower growth, engagement, traffic and revenue
Support video creation and posting for YouTube channel, including reporting, writing descriptions and posting videos.
Support and manage Influencer Marketing efforts with agency.
Monitor and report on organic social media performance, including month over month and year over year metrics.
Monitor social media community management agency, including escalating red zone alerts to leadership and responding (when appropriate) using the ESA voice and tone.
Manage Digital Content
Create and manage various landing pages on esa.com to support business needs.
Write creative headlines and taglines for marketing campaigns, and conduct user testing
Work closely with creative team to provide direction for marketing campaigns
Support hotel photo project, including:
Managing vendor scheduling, progress, delivery of assets
Reviewing photos for quality assurance
Working with content distribution team to ensure photos are uploaded and sent to all distribution channels
Ensuring all new hotels receive professional photography and work with content distribution team to ensure photos are uploaded and sent to all distribution channels
Report out weekly on photo project progress, including working with analytics team to determine if revenue lift is experienced due to improved images on esa.com.
Support new hotel onboarding process, including writing hotel descriptions and ensuring hotel has photography.
Manage the content for the marketing section of the ESA intranet.
Help maintain and analyze the effectiveness of the marketing communications, production and social media budgets.
Keep abreast of new content marketing and social media trends and make recommendations to enhance company efforts.
Ensure there is a consistent voice in all marketing content.
Support the Director, Marketing Communications with various requests for digital and social media content.
Manage user testing process for new campaign development, including setting up tests and reporting results.
Support post-campaign reporting dashboards.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
Advanced knowledge of marketing and/or advertising
Real-world experience planning and executing social media strategies, content and reputation management for a large company
Especially strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong Microsoft office skills
Strong knowledge of a variety of content management systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Graphic design experience preferred
Great at building strong working relationships
Strong organizational, planning and execution skills
Self-motivated; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Service and achievement oriented
Strong business acumen
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area.
Less than 10% travel
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or Advertising from an accredited 4-year university/marketing program
5+ years marketing and/or social media management experience
5+ years managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) for a large company
7+ years marketing experience
7+ years social media experience
