Apply today to join the Public Relations and Digital Communications team as a Digital Design & Content Manager responsible for developing content and promotional strategies across our digital channels that support Freddie Mac’s objectives and improve our public image.
In this role, you’ll be charged with planning and developing digital content for a variety of audiences and channels; developing and implementing multichannel marketing and communications strategies for a wide array of products, programs and events; communicating the company’s activities; and collaborating with business and communications leaders at all levels.

Your Impact:
Content & Digital Strategy

Develop and implement multichannel strategic communications and promotional plans across advertising, social, web and other digital platforms for internal clients to meet company and business objectives are tailored to and resonate with target audiences.
Plan and develop strategic content — including blogs, thought leadership and other digital assets — optimized for a variety of audiences and digital channels, as well as search engines.
Study data to understand what our targeted customers are looking for and how they engage with our digital presence, measure the efficiency of our strategy and tactics, and inform go-forward strategies.
Apply standard methodologies in digital communications to improve reach, engagement, SEO, etc.
Develop creative methods for delivering value in a digitally driven environment.

Collaboration

Partner with colleagues on various teams, including media relations, the in-house creative agency, research, government and industry relations, and internal communications, to plan and implement coordinated communications campaigns.
Be knowledgeable of current communications trends to drive continuous improvement through tools, technology, process and people.
Support some corporate executives (e.g., HR, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management) with thought leadership, media relations and other communications initiatives.
Wear multiple hats, work independently and drive projects forward.

Qualifications:

8+ years of related experience.
College degree in a communications field, journalism or equivalent experience.
Outstanding written and verbal skills with expertise in both long- and short-form writing. (Applicant will be asked to submit writing samples and take a writing test.)
Ability to understand and translate complex subject matter for multiple audiences.
Creative problem solver who can connect the company’s objectives to compelling content in a variety of formats.
Strong understanding of communications planning, creation, publishing, monitoring, and measurement methods and tools.
Proven experience in digital communications and content strategy for advertising, social media and the web.
Public Relations agency, media relations, financial services, housing industry and/or Capitol Hill experience a plus.
