Gaston Brewing Company is a small but growing production brewery with two locations, our brewery/taproom and our full service restaurant, both located in Fayetteville, NC. We are seeking an individual who is knowledgeable in digital marketing, event planning, and of course, Craft Beer! The Digital Marketing & Events Coordinator is a new role in the company that will shape and lead day-to-day marketing, communications, and event planning efforts. The ideal candidate will work directly with all touch points to deliver a broad range of digital marketing to drive awareness and consideration for our brand. The ideal candidate is a self-starting who is deeply knowledgeable of social media platforms, a strong writer and has strong social media creativity. With little supervision and acting on their own initiative, this candidate is responsible for developing and executing the social media and digital strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing, Social Media and Community Engagement – approximately 60% of time
Responsible for developing and executing digital marketing programs to deliver against brand and financial goals.Strategically targeting key accounts with distributors to increase points of distribution, rate of sale and promotional opportunities.Actively manages digital platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.Acts as the voice of the brand by responding to every communication (DM, Instagram comment, and more) in real-time with creative, on-brand responses.Maps out content calendars for social channels, including an evolving monthly and quarterly plan that support brand strategyCreates and curates engaging, informative and educational video and photo content to post for various digital platforms.Conducts social media reviews and optimizes roadmap to increasing engagement/followers.Manages digital advertising through paid media vendors.Executes email marketing initiatives, including creation of contentWorks within traditional and non-traditional PR channels.Assists with establishing key influencer programs.Drives DTC traffic through content, targeted ads and social channels.
Manages SEO and Google Analytics.Assists in the identification and development of field marketing, including sponsored events, charitable donations, trade related functions, etc.Event Planning – approximately 20% of timeTasked with helping to set-up, execute and break down promotional equipment (pop up tents, jockey boxes, banners, signage, flags) at activities such as festivals, events, retail accounts, etc.Finalize agreements and contracts, ensuring proper event paperwork is in place.Manage events calendar with scheduling, staffing and product.Manage events budget to ensure each event is properly executed.Follow up with event staff to ensure expectations were delivered through recap process.Photograph key products and events to contribute to social media and additional marketing assets.Taproom Specialist – approximately 20% of time
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.Working with the taproom manager on development and training, schedules, accountability, and education of taproom staff.Update Taproom menu as needed.Ability to assist and work in other departments in the company and perform other tasks as needed by the company.Maintain a thorough understanding of all Gaston Brewing Company products.Take initiative to continually improve the Taproom experience for guests.Work shifts and support staff behind the bar.
Qualifications2-4 years of directly related experience required.Beer, wine or spirits industry experience required.Knowledge of social media platforms required.Preffered previous experience writing content within the craft beer industry.Experience creating photos and videos and use of editing software.Must have an understanding of SEO and paid media content development, distribution and
Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentMust be at least 21 years of ageOpen to work weekend and evening events, on occasion.Must be flexible work availability.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularlyAble to work standing for several hours at a timeMust be willing to lift, carry, transport and set up event equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
