Apex Benefits seeks a Digital Marketing Manager to lead, develop and implement all digital marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement and generate sales leads. The Manager recommends and develops strategies – and executes them – to maximize the organization’s online presence across all digital channels including web, email, social media and digital advertising.
Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities
Develop editorial and social Manage all digital assets including website, intranet, social media, marketing automation and CRM integration; responsible for managing and elevating Apex’s digital platforms (social media, websites, email marketing)
Research, analyze and recommend best practices regarding overall web strategies, SEO, social media, and digital advertising
Manage website content updates and technical maintenance and development projects; directly responsible for site performance, SEO and UI/UX
Facilitate the optimization of digital marketing activities by regularly analyzing website, email, and social media metrics and developing strategies to improve outcomes
Stay on top of competitive and industry trends to identify and recommend new opportunities
Create and/or direct production of multi-media content/assets to digital marketing activities (including podcasts, photography, and videography)
Work with marketing team to execute overarching content calendar for digital platforms
Identify emerging technology platforms and innovative opportunities in digital communications and brainstorm new and creative growth strategies using digital marketing
Partner with Marketing and IT team to increase efficiency and usage of Intranet and other tools to enhance user experience
Collaborate with IT and influence key internal stakeholders to embrace new technologies
Serve as the internal expert on maximizing the use of marketing automation platform Marketo
Work with Marketing and Sales teams to plan, execute, implement and measure lead generation campaigns that support corporate financial goals and objectives
Map and track, and measure and assess effectiveness of lead generation programs (digital campaigns, events, etc.) to identify areas of improvement and opportunity
Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop campaigns to drive lead generation; identify target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
Other Marketing Responsibilities
Produce multi-media content including photography, video and podcasts including directing, editing and posting as appropriate
Serve as subject matter expert for social media strategy; oversee content development and execution of social network posting and engagement, measurement and improvement initiatives
Coach Team Apex on social media and digital marketing best practices as appropriate
Participate in the production of print materials as needed
Serves as a Marketing liaison between departments as requested
Manage vendor relationships as necessary
Other duties as assigned
At least 3 years of professional experience; 5+ years preferred
Bachelor’s degree in media, marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field
Proficient in Creative Suite (including photo and video editing), Office; Marketo or similar marketing automation platform; familiarity with Dynamics and CRM; WordPress, HTML, and programming experience
Capacity and willingness to achieve Marketo certification
Experienced with photography, videography, and podcasting
Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial
Superior problem solving, analytical ability, attention to detail, customer service skills
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills; copywriting skills a plus
Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
Highly collaborative, positive attitude, maturity, and confidence with the ability to lead discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels

Ability to travel to and work in the corporate office located in Indianapolis, Indiana is required, in addition to client locations.
