We’re seeking an experienced, customer-focused digital copywriter to help us engage, inform, and persuade millions of consumers to enhance their lives with Alarm.com technology.

You’ll drive new business with action-oriented, customer-focused campaigns that incorporate webpages, emails, multimedia, digital ads, and more. You’ll work with our Brand/Consumer, Creative, and PR teams to transform key messages into actionable digital stories and journeys that you’ll test and refine and continue to optimize. You’ll make it your business to understand and discover more about our residential and business user audiences. At 7 million users and counting, they’re growing fast—and so will you.

You’ll get to:

Connect with and engage visitors through Alarm.com’s website, guiding them click-by-click into relevant, compelling customer journeys.
Distill an array of versatile features and new product details into clear, targeted, benefit-driven stories that drive conversion, upsell and customer retention.
Engage online communities and help millions of users get more from their technology with helpful, persuasive content campaigns.
Contribute to our inbound content marketing programs as a web copy expert.
Grab attention and build awareness across the web with smart digital ads.
Ensure content is aligned with Marketing and company goals, as well as SEO strategies
Actively brainstorm and develop fresh ideas, stories and messaging.
Test, measure, improve, test, measure, improve, test… you get the picture.
Build your career in a new tech category that protects and enhances people’s lives.

You’ll need:

3-4 years of digital copywriting and content marketing experience with a strong consumer focus. Prefer to have complementary B2B experience.
A standout portfolio of web, email, digital advertising, and SEO copy. Longer-form content marketing, scriptwriting, and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target are a plus. Tech writing, HTML, thought leadership experience are welcome additions as well.
Ability to strategically translate market research and insights into brand language and stories, working hand-in-hand with the Consumer + Brand team
Experience writing copy aligned to a clear and consistent brand voice
Experience creating blog posts and core page content… experience managing editorial workflows, Google Analytics, keyword research, and a CMS will be an advantage.
An adaptable writing voice for different consumer audiences including homeowners, business owners and more.
Spectacular attention to detail, deadlines and digital marketing metrics.
A love of the writer’s craft, plus an aptitude for brainstorming and ideation.
A drive to learn more about different audiences, technologies, industries and the business of marketing.
