Dynamic leader, responsible for driving the culture and aligning the organizational strategy with unit operations. Director is accountable for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the practice (multi-provider/multi-location). Directly supervises clinical and patient relations management. Works with physicians and division leadership to implement innovative practice growth and quality solutions improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Evaluates practice operations and designs opportunities for improvement ensuring efficient and effective workflows; develops and implements action plans to promote successful achievement of budget and KPI metrics. Leads and participates in the annual operating budget process helping to develop and evaluate volume projections as they relate to visits, procedures, staffing, supply and equipment needs in the context of quality improvement and cost reduction. Works with appropriate team to develop and monitor long term strategic plan, annual objectives and operational plans focusing on quality improvement, growth, cost reduction, and utilization management. Specific elements to be addressed include new programming, facility and equipment needs, staff competencies and resource planning, business strategies and capital needs. Participates in the capital equipment acquisition process through capital equipment planning, the annual capital budget process and equipment evaluation. Recommend acquisition of new and replacement equipment. Completes all new equipment purchase ROI/pro forma and capital request forms. Actively participates in efforts to reduce the cost of service while maintaining or enhancing the quality of service. Actively supports efforts to identify and achieve benchmark levels of cost performance as applicable. Responsible for ensuring all fiscal policies and processes are adhered to. Responsible for all revenue cycle processes performed within the practice such as charge capture, clinical documentation, prior authorization, and benefits eligibility. Coordinates all facility lease renewals with RVP and Director of Real Estate. Ensures all charges are entered daily and cash is reconciled and balanced with the system and bank deposits. Reviews and discusses monthly income statements and PCR’s with provider team. Analyzes patient survey data, shares the results with providers and staff, responds timely to patient inquiries and complaints, and creates patient engagement strategies based on the results. Creates brand awareness through our patient engagement strategies bringing our mission, vision and values to life. Responsible for hiring and retaining top talent individuals in all practice positions. Sets clear performance expectations with associated celebration and rewards; builds a high-performance group with a focus on excellence and achievement orientation; recognizes individual achievements throughout the performance period; ensures others know how they are performing throughout the year. Collaborates with RVP and recruiter on all aspects of provider recruitment; completes all pro formas and practice assessments as required. Participates in required meetings/teams and communicates updates and changes to physicians and team. Promote an environment conducive to the implementation of organizational change consistent with the organizational mission, values, and strategic plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in healthcare or business management. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in physician practice or healthcare management. Experience in developing strong physician relationships and able to lead others in initiatives aimed at strengthening patient and physician experience, integrating and optimizing services and developing a motivated, high-performing team. Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment. Creative and persistent problem solver, proven skills in revenue generation, cost control, productivity enhancements and patient satisfaction. Strategic and tactical skills, including data/metric analysis, action planning, decision support, and operations. Demonstrated ability to identify trends and act on opportunities gained from insights. Ability to think critically, solve complex challenges and productively manages conflict. Experience and comfort working in a matrixed organization with shared services and resources. Possesses dynamic skills in organizational standardization and transformation. Demonstrated dedication to the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.
