The PMO Director is responsible for five key areas:
1. Defining and Maintaining Project Management Office Standards2. Project Distribution3. Design Strategies and Design Problem Solving4. Production Analysis5. Financial Reporting and Analytics
The PMO Director defines and maintains standards for project management. They introduce and standardize economies of repetition in the execution of projects.
The PMO Director, in conjunction with the Account Director and CEO, fields new project inquiries and disseminates the project to a PMO team for management and production. The PMO Director works with team leads on design strategies and problem solving on the outset of a project, and reviews the hits and misses after delivery.
The PMO Director, in conjunction with the Controller, reviews all expense reports as delivered by team leads and runs analysis for efficiencies, forecasts and business development.
Below is a more detailed description of this work:
1. Defining and Maintaining PMO Standards

Responsible for PMO operations and output
Responsible for quality of PMO client relations and production management
Actively works to make sure that the software platforms and guidelines used for project management maximize efficiency
Set bi-annual goals with PMO employees

2. Project Distribution

Works in conjunction with the CEO and Fabrication Director to determine which projects Bednark will take on
Disseminates projects to teams
Works with team leads in defining SOW and building and issuing quotes to clients

3. Design Strategies and Problem Solving

In conjunction with PMO team lead, make sure that the client’s vision has been value engineered
In conjunction with PMO team lead, develop build proposals for clients based on past experiences, shop capabilities, bandwidth, and best practices

4. Production Analysis

Monitors PMO operations and output and assess strategies for increased efficiency
Meets with team leaders once a month to review projects delivered and discuss hits and misses
Meets with Directors once a month to assess PMO output with respect to Accounts, Fabrication and Operations
Reviews expense reports with Controller to assess PMO financial hits and misses

5. Financial Reporting and Analytics

Reviews expense reports with Controller to verify accuracy
In conjunction with Controller, produces PMO financial reports
In conjunction with Controller, runs analytics for forecasting

Requirements + Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management including client services and in-shop fabrication.
Minimum of 5 years in a Leadership position.
Ability to build strong relationships, mentorship and support.
Principles, methods and practices related to project management from a client and site based delivery role perspective.

Required Skillsets:

Understanding of fabrication and building methods
Ability to read and redline technical drawings
Must possess professional interpersonal skills
Must be accurate and detailed oriented – with the ability to operate under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Proficient in Keynote

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
