Minimum qualifications:

4 years of editorial experience
Experience working in a cross-functional team that works with content platforms UX, email marketing, brand marketing, and production
Experience in platform and content management in the editorial space

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in business or consumer journalism
Knowledge of digital marketing topics such as video, mobile, app marketing, measurement, and consumer privacy
Ability to analyze performance data and apply that analysis to optimize content strategy
Excellent analytical skills

Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you will leverage performance data to guide strategy, work with content platform product teams to elevate user experiences, and more. You will also work with multiple stakeholders, establishing yourself as an editorial partner and a credible source of authority.

Partner with marketers to build their business narratives into compelling content.
Write and edit long and short-form content and identify editorial formats that can best tell Google’s stories.
Analyze go-to-market content plans to understand gaps and identify opportunities to fill those gaps with different content.
Help shape content packages tied to key moments. Provide guidance from concept development to promotion.
Analyze performance data and apply that analysis to optimize content strategy.
