Full Job Description :-
The Collins Aerospace Interiors Business & Technology Excellence team has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to be a part of the team supporting the digital thread backbone of business intelligence throughout Interiors Engineering and Finance organizations. The team delivers systems and reporting solutions across Interiors to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business. The position will provide the opportunity to learn about the whole business and learn a wide variety of tools and processes. It will also involve a significant amount of engagement with project colleagues and end customers to ensure that the resultant deliveries are fit for their intended purpose. This is an exciting opportunity for an able and ambitious individual to operate and deliver demonstrable customer value at the forefront of Collins Aerospace’s significant delivery and investment in the Engineering Systems for the Interiors business unit.

Participation in Digital Thread roadmap and delivery activities
Software Investment and Userbase Analysis
Capacity Planning and Support Team performance KPI’s
Financial Planning, Procurements, and Cost Justifications
Audit compliance analysis and remediation

Position is currently working remotely. May need to work onsite occasionally and when circumstances permit.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain detailed schedule of both subscription and annual software renewal cycles
Collect and monitor business justifications for both purchases and renewals
Develops relevant metrics to measure software usage for use in renewal cycles
Actively involved in department financial planning and analysis
Works with cross-functional teams for solutions to meet business requirements
Supports adoption of standard work processes, financial standards, and ensures alignment with global supply chain and financial corporate policies.
Ensures the team operational and development change process is followed
Build strong relationships to partner with internal customers and external suppliers
Create and maintain user test plans, functional specifications, technical specifications, and business requirement documents.
Provide Business Support for the Engineering system capacity planning with the infrastructure teams.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Experience communicating and presenting to a wide variety of audiences
Ability to analyze large sets of data with attention to detail
Formal training and demonstrable experience in functional, data or BA roles, modelling business processes, end-states and / or solution implementations.

Preferred Experience

Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis, and trends and applied knowledge of measurements and statistics
Ability to translate results of data analysis into business recommendations
Experience designing, building, deploying, and sustaining tools or systems
Experience working across a matrixed organization to achieve results
Practical knowledge of Excel, Power Query, SharePoint, Ariba, and SAP
Practical knowledge of the fundamentals of software development processes and project management lifecycles.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Proven leadership skills

Experience we also value

Engineering System experience with Siemens, Teamcenter and/or related PLM systems such as PTC-Windchill, Dassault-Enovia, Oracle-Agile, NX, Creo, Catia
License management software experience
Strong technical writing skills
Strong skills in analytical, problem solving, attention to details, and reporting
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Aerospace industry experience
