Role & Responsibilities: Curriculum Development1. Engage in effective curriculum development for effective teaching-learning in line with the school’s philosophy2. Develop a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills.3. Writing curriculum brief and overviews.4. Document reflective curriculum feedback for continuous improvement in the curriculum plan and teaching strategiesTeaching-Learning Processes 1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the basic principles of appropriate childhood development; Lesson Plan along with the team, implement, and model activities with children between the ages of three to five years,2. Consistent with the curriculum provided develops weekly plans, and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development .3. On an on-going basis, plan, evaluate and create print-rich environment I.e. the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child.4. Provides a developmentally appropriate classroom environment by reviewing the materials and ensure all levels of children are cater to.5. Provide effective training for new teachers and assistants in classroom management, curriculum implementation, and appropriate early childhood practices6. Work in coordination with the Academic Coordinator and Principal to train, mentor and supervise all lead teachers and assistant teacher.7. Work in coordination with Teacher, Class Teacher and Assistant Teacher.Classroom Management 1. Prepare teaching-learning materials, decorate classroom and bulletin board timely and with quality.2. Arrange indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate a wide range of teaching-learning activities while maintaining safety3. Coordinate with the support staff, maids to maintain housekeeping standards of the classroom and the school premises4. Establish effective rules for behavior in the classroom and guide children sensitively to create a balanced environment of freedom with disciplineResource Management 1. Development and implementation of various SOPs to procure inventory and required resources for Classroom.2. Work closely with the different functional departments to oversee all aspect of classroom program planning, implementation, and evaluation with the guidelines of school philosophy.3. Participate in creating the annual budget for the school’s academic program and monitor expenses monthly.4. Supply Requisitions: Order required resources and stationery needed for successful implementation of academics programsAssessment 1. Observe, document and evaluate children’s performance as per school’s defined assessment methods2. Maintain accurate and complete student observation and work records, preparing students portfolios for assessment and sharing purposes3. Document growth pattern, experiences, stories of the students and share them with parents, principal and for school’s display purposesParent Communication 4. Document and Develop communication materials to share about the school’s activities and children’s learning with parents5. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their expectations and expectations as a school for children’s growth & development6. Meet with parents and guardians on PTM (Parents – Teachers Meeting) to discuss their children’s progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development7. Maintain regular written and verbal communication with the parents & guardians of the students for ensuring their active involvement in the child’s development8. Engage the families of children in various ways like inviting family members as experts to classrooms, as volunteers for certain activities, conducting home visits, conducting parent workshops, etc., with approval of the principalSchool-Wide Responsibilities 1. Provide training and guidance to new joinee and trainee teachers2. Coordination for various celebrations, events and activities like Annual Day, Sports Day etc,.3.
