Facility Manager Job DescriptionPrior to employment, facility manager must be at least 21 years of age and meet one of the followingrequirements:(A) Have a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree(B) Two years full-time experience, or its equivalent, working with the population to be served, orequivalent educations or experiences determined by CDSS. Experience will be verified as having beenperformed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of thepopulation served.(C) Two years’ experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home or short-term residentialtherapeutic program performing duties as outlined above.(D)Facility Manager Staff must meet all training requirements outlined in training plan.
Responsibilities and Duties may include the following: 1) Demonstrate ability as a leader, group facilitator or supervisor2) Knowledge and understanding of the needs of youth serviced in a residential setting (STRTP).3) Knowledge and proficiency in trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions4) Compassionate and humble leadership skills5) Ability to hear and internalize constructive criticism and feedback, including and especially from peoplewith less power or privilege6) To promote the health and safety of all residents;7) To act as the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Supervisor,8) To act as the coordinator of Planned Activities for the youth.9) To know the whereabouts of all clients at all times;10) To promote daily hygiene and grooming;11) To ensure support staff has prepared food according to the facility menu;12) To maintain the facility in compliance per Tittle 22 Regulations;13) To ensure proper usage of all facility property including but not limited to televisions, facility computers,kitchen equipment, facility washer/dryer, etc.14) To transport clients in the facility vehicle in a safe manner;15) To participate in all facility activities when on duty;16) To provide assistance to all mental health professionals when so requested;17) To enforce all house rules;18) To chart and log clients daily progress and emotional status;19) To chart and document all unusual incidents;21) To implement the contingency management program when on duty;22) To assist with assistance and encouragement with schoolwork;23) To have the knowledge and ability to assist with self-administration of medication as required;24) To coordinate activities with other direct care staff, consultants, the administrator and the licensee;25) To attend all staff meetings and in-service programs;26) To provide for the emotional and social development of each client;27) To provide fair and equal treatment of each client;28) To refrain from criticizing other staff members to clients;29) To dress and behave in a manner which provides a positive role model to the clients and how the agency ispresented to the community;30) To encourage and accept the expression of opinions by clients;31) To avoid involvement in situations with clients which might damage the reputation of the facility;32) To refrain from borrowing money or personal property from any client; and33) To refrain from using any type of physical force against any client and to use physical restraint only whenunquestionably required for the protection of the client, themselves, other clients, staff or facility property.
Supervision: This position is under the direct supervision of the Administrator.
