The General Manager (HL) leads a team of highly skilled and motivated managers to provide safe and reliable solutions to our Customers and to do so with integrity and a focus on safety. This includes managing equipment, processes, financials, and leading people.
Develop and analyze budgets–preparing periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Provide analysis to assist operations in implementing solutions to operating and financial problems.
Ensure financial reporting accuracy and timeliness (daily financial reports, key performance indicator reports, monthly projection and variance analysis, month-end processing and reporting, etc.).
Perform one on one interviews to teach and train on Savage strategy, culture, and systems.
Coach and mentor managers and team members to improve performance through goals and objectives.
Provide recommendations to Operations Managers and General Managers in hiring and performance management.
Oversee regulatory compliance, documentation, and inspections.
Lead efforts to identify and develop logistics / operations opportunities.
Preform regional observations to ensure managers regularly inspect safety, cleanliness, and equipment.
Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to prioritize, plan, and carry critical projects to completion.
Able to communicate clearly and positively with managers and team members.
A high level of integrity that exemplifies unwavering honesty, trustworthiness and fairness.
Able to compile, analyze, and draw insights from large amounts of data.
Able to understand and analyze financial statements.
Knowledge of raw materials, productions processes, quality control, and distribution of goods.
Able to hire, train, and manage performance of employees.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
5-7 years industry experience.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Able to frequently move in-between the office and the field (sitting and standing regularly).
Able to travel to other facilities. (Travel 60%-70%)
