The Graphic Designer will join the Communications Team and be responsible for producing the organization’s creative assets across digital and print mediums. This role requires a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a high attention to detail. An individual in this role will successfully manage multiple projects as well as be effective in calendar and time management.
The Communications Team is launching a plan to modernize our promotional collateral in 2022 with a new logo, organizational website, and much more. We’re looking for a skilled designer and communicator who is passionate about design, branding, and strategy and who is excited to use design to craft the organization’s public appearance. Our team handles all print and digital production for the organization, which includes but is not limited to:
Organizational and event websites
Social media channels
Dateline, our in-house magazine—printed five times per year
Digital and print brochures and educational materials
Annual reports and funding guides
Copywriting and editing
Form building and data collection/analysis
RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for a multitude of print and digital design projects. These include but are not limited to:
Gathering and analyzing data, information, and materials for projects and deadlines.
Collaborating with internal team/stakeholders to determine the scope of a project, provide commentary and ideas, and outline a plan to achieve the goals.
Using digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software to create designs for all visual components of projects.
Creating visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations.
Creating and enforcing brand standards and usage guides for logos, colors, and typography.
Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with UI/UX design concepts and best practices
Creating or reviewing wireframes
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to details
Ability to critically analyze and problem solve
Excellent administrative and project coordination skills
Ability to work collaboratively on a high-performance team
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in design or related field, or more than three years relevant work experience in a comparable position
Nonprofit experience preferred
