3M is seeking a Sr HRBP for the Human Resources Department. This position will be located in Belen, Heredia as part of our Global Service Center in Costa Rica. The HR Business Partner position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

As part of this position, the HRBP protects the corporation and assures 3M values and policies are upheld and complied to, as well as that 3M processes are implemented as appropriate. Ensures compliance with 3M Business Conduct Policies and other policies, and teaches and acts as an example of uncompromising ethics. Ensures local legislation compliance to at all times.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Leading the design, development and implementation of innovative talent development programs and processes and translating this into operational objectives for the organization in terms of performance, competence, career and succession management.
Conduct Talent reviews and Maintain succession tables and create/ execute development plans focused in talent retention and turnover reduction. ( Identify talent, career plan, development plan, and combine it with transparency of hiring managers in our ELT, pipeline creation)
Partner with key business stakeholders, employee relations, talent acquisition, talent development, and other organizations to identify appropriate talent pools / pipelines and proactively manage their professional and career development and optimum deployment.
Joining forces with the HRBPs to support and advise the organization in terms of talent review, employee retention, and succession planning. Analyzing and identifying key contributors, key successors and attrition risk factors
Manage and Champion the Employee Resource Network of committees to increase employee engagement. Develop analytics and measurables for employee engagement to drive increased employee satisfaction.
Develop and manage aspects of the global development strategic plan in a way that consistently achieves program / project objectives; discuss and adapt the plan where necessary to meet area needs.
Partner and collaborate with other area Learning & Development organizations to ensure training and development tools are meaningful and well utilized to support our talent development and retention strategies.
Ensure that learning solutions are designed and delivered to a high quality, which maintain standards of excellence, meet the needs of the business, and receive positive feedback from learners; where internal resources are used, provide coaching and practical support to ensure quality of output.
Work with line managers and country leadership to manage the nomination and selection process for local, regional and global programs, ensuring appropriate and motivated participants are put forward and supported in their learning before, during and after the program.
Partner with Branding and Communications to develop effective internal and external branding to attract and retain talent.

Manage all Learning & Development activities including, but not limited to:

understand existing and emerging objectives and needs of the business;
liaise with key stakeholders / internal clients to define learning and development requirements;
analyze business unit and individual development needs, recommend and plan solutions to meet those needs;
help design appropriate new global content and adapt existing content/materials to fit the local needs and environment;
deliver solutions, including workshops and programs
follow-up and evaluation of solutions, review feedback and make adjustments for continuous improvement;
build and manage a schedule of development events, making events visible and accessible to employees across the area;
maintain robust training records and reporting database

Design and deliver training program. Implement global and area initiatives, adapting where necessary.
