The Ugly Rooster Cafe now has two locations one in Mechanicville and one in Malta NY and we’re looking for energetic go getters to staff our kitchens!! We are a high volume, fast paced café, serving breakfast and lunch every day (and dinner currently in Malta only on Monday through Wednesday evenings until 8PM.) Weekend availability is a must for this position as they are our busiest days. If you have previous kitchen line cook experience, come in and talk to us, we are prepared to offer a very competitive salary. Come begin your new opportunity along with us and we’ll grow together.
As a line cook, your responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, slicing meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
At least one year line cook experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time or part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour depending on experience
