This role in summary
For this role you will grow margin, revenue, share, volume with field sales Retailers, Builders, and Associate Contract Distributors (ACDs) working from a dedicated home office covering retail and builder customers in the Oregon Market.
Your responsibilities will include
Contribute to sales team success by gathering and sharing market and competitive information
Develop relationships with existing and potential new trade customers
Negotiate and close profitable sales; prospecting and market development
Train trade partners on the merits of Whirlpool Corporation’s products
Prepare and renew quotes for specific projects; trade association leadership
Merchandise trade customer floors
Travel within the assigned territory
Minimum requirements
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years experience retail and builder account management and sales
Preferred skills and experiences
Analytical and negotiation skills
Communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills
Appetite to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and volume goals
Track record of sales success
Develop and drive sales strategy
Motivator/leader
Challenger mentality
Willingness to embrace and drive change
Knowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven selling
Knowledge of products and brands
Familiarity with the retail distribution channel
Understanding of the contract distribution channel
Intelligence on competitors
