Full Job Description :-
We are seeking an experienced manager, content writer and editor to join Mediacom Creative Systems. This hybrid role will ensure the high-quality execution of search-driven article content across multiple lines of business for a high-profile consumer bank.

Reporting to the director of content strategy, this content editor and writer, will be working with a team of four copywriters and another manager-level content editor and writer to ensure quality of work at scale. The content editor and writer will also support the director of content strategy in the development of new content formats.
Mediacom has a history of promoting from within, and we expect both our product offer and this role to grow as we continue our engagement with our client.
Assign, write and edit article-based content for one or more lines of business
Have a mastery of structure, flow, style and grammar and be able to apply it to various content formats as needed
Write/rewrite and deliver high-quality, clean, long-form article content on a regular cadence
Cultivate junior writers in the execution of clean content that meets the needs of search and the user
Be or become a subject-matter expert in your assigned lines of business such as wealth management, merchant services, automotive or consumer banking
Be able to maintain a cadence and switch gears between projects fluidly
Capture, internalize and implement direction from the director of content strategy
Help to make our client competitive against established and emerging content players in the financial services sector
Stay up to date with and implement content creation and SEO best practices
Maintain the content style guide
Proofread work for accuracy, consistency, spelling, grammar and style
Attend client and agency meetings to present and talk through deliverables when needed
5 or more years of professional content writing and editing experience as a journalist and/or professional content creator
Experience in financial services
Strong editorial and client instincts
Strong sense of logic, flow, style, grammar and AP standards with a command of voice
Strong understanding of search-driven content practices
Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail
Exceptional ability to absorb and incorporate feedback quickly
An appreciation for working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with regular deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Asana and server files a plus
Experience working with a large consumer bank, an affiliate financial content site or a leading financial publication a big, big plus
