The Global Healthcare team is responsible for growing Mastercard’s presence in the healthcare segment – through payments solutions and relevant ancillary services. The team is looking for a Business Development Manager to identify, evolve, and execute on opportunities to deploy MasterCard products and services with healthcare stakeholders, in close partnership with local product and BD teams.
Role
The Manager will support business development efforts with a focus on growing revenue from healthcare industry customers in select IMK markets. They will assist in the identification and development of strategic and tactical initiatives to deploy fit-for-purpose Mastercard assets, primarily through partnerships with leading industry players.
Key Accountabilities
Generate stakeholder interest in Mastercard assets, and map relevant solutions to their stated and latent needs
Partner with regional business development teams and other stakeholders to identify business opportunities, prioritize qualified prospects, and deliver sales targets
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities that will grow revenue from healthcare customers
Ensure full alignment with regional product/service teams and local market staff on lead generation plans and positioning of Mastercard capabilities
Communicate market and client needs back to product/service development teams to assist in product definition, development, and pricing
Create analyses and presentations for internal and external audiences to support business recommendations
Present overviews of relevant Mastercard solutions that address healthcare segment challenges
Create business cases; provide the foundation for new business models and partnership agreements
Lead market-specific healthcare segment analyses, and leverage learnings to inform product and go-to-market strategies
All About You
Undergraduate or master’s degree
Experience executing business development across products, services, and customer segments
Demonstrated ability to build and manage trust-based relationships with colleagues and clients
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Sound judgment; ability to work independently and to be effective in ambiguous situations
Ability to navigate a matrix-managed environment
Eager to learn and ability to pick up new knowledge and skills easily
Experience translating strategies into clear action plans
Successful track record managing P&L and sales objectives
Experience working in a multi-national company a must; experience working in a start-up/new business environment a plus
Strong oral and written communications skills
Good grasp of financial concepts and business case building
Exposure to payments and/or healthcare systems a plus
Eligible to work in the country where the position is located
