Marketing and Event Consultant
Pond View Farm is a 15 acre farm located in Randolph, NJ. We raise Alpacas, goats, poultry and grow produce. We offer our guests tours, experiences, environmental education programs, summer camp, private parties and special events. The ideal candidate should have excellent social media marketing skills, guest service skills, previous event sales experience and the ability to deliver memorable event experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Event Management:Create engaging & innovative farm and nature educational programs, community events and private events.Hiring, training and manage event and marketing staff.Assist with event site design, implementation & evaluation.Develop partnership with local schools, groups, camps and business.Creating event proposals and project timeline.Liaise with business partners, staff, and guests during the event planning process.Timely respond to phone calls and email inquiries.Good understanding of farm operations.Process payments and issue refunds as needed.Create event registration forms and ticketsManaging events and addressing potential problems that may arise.Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to our standards.Remaining under budget with all costs.
Marketing:Involvement in all aspects of marketing, including social media, email marketing, public relations, content creation, and display advertising.Develop social media marketing strategy.Creating compelling content (photography, video and graphics) on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube in accordance with marketing strategy.Create Social Media Content Calendar, including posting and responding to comments.Edit and proof copy to ensure all content is grammatically correct, and accurateTrack, report and analyze social media key performance indicators (KPIs).Conduct competitive analysis.Use of social media management and analytics tools.Monitor and report on key metrics such as Google Analytic and SEODesign graphics, marketing flyers and interpretive displaysDesign & distribute seasonal newsletters & Constant Contact email blastsEnsure events are advertised appropriately on website, prints and social media.Following each event, create the list(s) of attendees, develops post event recap on website and social media.
Degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of experience in digital storytelling, social media, and campaign management.Prior experience working in a digital/creative agency environment desiredMinimum 1 years experience in event managementExpert copywriting and editing skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.Strong event management skills.Experience with environmental/outdoor education desired.Strong communication skills.Ability to work alone or in a team environmentHighly organized.Strong graphics design skills.Strong attention to detail.Good knowledge of web analytics.
Job Type: Part-time; flexible hours, hybrid 80% remote.
