*Basic Function*: The Marketing & Social Media Copywriter is responsible for writing, editing, and proofing compelling marketing and promotional materials. These materials range from product decals and catalogs to blog posts, video scripts, and email copy. In addition, this team member helps define brand voice; ensuring all copy is consistent with our identity, position, and message.
*Activities & Responsibilities*:
Brand Voice & Positioning
Assist in developing a brand voice and copy platforms, collaborating with the Creative Director and senior stakeholders.
Assist in developing a quarterly content calendar, collaborating with Creative Director and Marketing Director.
Champion brand consistency across all company communications.
Create and edit original copy that is accurate, clear, well-researched, aligns with brand voice, and meets company needs and deadlines.
Interpret creative direction and technical information, understand project requirements, and create compelling deliverables.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the company on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns, marketing collateral, and landing pages).
Conduct high-quality research and interviews to formulate ideas or support writing.
Edit and proofread copy as needed.
Use SEO principles to maximize the impact of the deliverable.
Source images and other content as necessary to fulfill project requirements.
Assist in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content.
Assist in developing, implementing, and managing social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging, and audience identification.
Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video, and live features) that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with the brand.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop social media campaigns.
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Business Suite, or other text editing applications
Strong creative thinking skills and ability to conceptualize abstract ideas
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, voice, flow, and grammar
Proven ability to create within and maintain a brand voice
Affinity for and/or experience with equestrian, agriculture, sports turf, and property management industries
Developed ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems
Proficiency with WordPress
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
Minimum 5 years experience in content marketing or copywriting
Minimum 2 years experience developing and executing social media strategy and content calendars
Must have unwavering integrity and positivity
Must be an emotionally intelligent, humble contributor to group goals and company needs
Must be a self-motivated and driven learner with a desire to grow and be developed
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of autonomously managing and accomplishing project lists
Must be willing to participate in ongoing education
Must be proficient utilizing computers, mobile devices, and core office applications
Must have the ability to stand, sit, and see a screen eight hours of the workday
Must be willing to work full-time, in-house
Must have the ability to safely lift 50 pounds
Must be agreeable to and able to pass random drug testing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
