James Martin Associates is looking to expand our team to include a content writer who can add value to our websites with exciting and informative website content.
This fast-paced and deadline-driven role will work closely with our Marketing Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing and editing and a passion for creativity. In addition to marketing elements, the individual must be organized, curious and reliable with deadlines while juggling simultaneous projects.
James Martin Associates has been designing and managing practical, creative, and award-winning landscapes in Boulder County, Colorado since 1980. We are passionate about improving the outdoor living spaces for homeowners, business managers, and municipalities by making them more beautiful, sustainable and functional.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Produce and create writing content in support of communication efforts
Must be comfortable with creative writing on landscaping, gardening and other relevant topics (whether you have experience or not) as long as you’re open to new challenges you’ll be a fit
Assist with website curation and brand awareness
Coordinate and implement web content updates, blog posts and revisions for the website
Research content information
Interview for article content
Write articles and press announcements with goal to get readers to respond and connect with our company
Prepare social media content on employees and events
Post events and articles to Web and social media sites
Utilize SEO keywords to create enhancing written content
Follow style guidelines to ensure consistency across websites
Assist with other Marketing tasks as needed
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, creative writing, communications or related field.
Strong writing, communications, graphics, oral communications, and organizational skills
Excellent spelling and grammar skills
Proven ability to follow style guidelines
Basic knowledge of SEO writing and keyword search preferred
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Microsoft Office proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is necessary
Familiar with WordPress or be a quick learner and interested in learning WordPress website platform
This non-exempt role is part time, 15-25 hours per week.
