Our Engineering team has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer.
Location: Seattle, WA
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for buildings across a variety of sectors including Higher Education, K-12, Arts & Culture, Justice/Civic, Retail, Hospitality, Workplace and Energy. You will take on Engineer of Record (EOR) responsibilities and lead the design of complex mechanical systems. You will work with mechanical engineering teams to produce high-quality construction documents using Revit while managing project schedules to meet deliverable requirements. As part of the integrated design team, you will collaborate closely with other disciplines to produce highly integrated building designs.

The successful candidate will:
Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process.
Create and coordinate documents using Revit.
Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations including code research.
Write and review specifications.
Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
Conduct site visits when needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering license (P.E./PE)
8+ years of experience in a MEP firm working on commercial/public projects.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing HVAC building systems on complex projects.
Working knowledge of the design and construction process and the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple mechanical project teams and/or interdisciplinary project teams.
Have a passion for developing technical skills of engineering team members.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.
Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) work flow.
