Full Job Description :-
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology McMinnville (TCAT) is accepting applications for the position of Student Success Coach. This non-exempt, part-time position will be responsible for recruiting and supporting students for both traditional and dual enrollment programs. The success coach will support student retention activities for regular and dual enrollment programs as well as develop and implement outreach activities in accordance with the institution’s Achieving the Dream (ATD) and Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plans. This position reports to the Coordinator of Student Services. This position ends June 30, 2022.

Strong commitment to student access and success
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s (preferred)
Two to four years related work experience
General knowledge of technical education in Tennessee is expected
Strong abilities in multi-tasking, customer service, interpersonal skills, organization, and reporting is necessary
High proficiency in computer skills required. Experience with Ellucian Banner and MS Office preferred.


Actively recruit for all programs at the college as it relates to the SEM plan.
Assist potential students in career exploration,
Assist with recruitment activities such as college/career fairs, community events, new student orientation, etc.
Assist and participate in preparation for graduation activities and other college events
Work with instructors and administration promoting TCAT McMinnville, student success, training, and industry involvement through social media on a daily basis
Actively seek to build relationships and partnerships within the community to promote TCAT students
Coordinate, plan, or assist with student related campus events such as Signing Day, Student Appreciation Day.
Advise/counsel prospective students about the programs offered and the training paths that are available to them. Communicate admissions procedures to both large and small groups
Ascertain which program suits a student best and assist in enrolling
Assist with reports as needed
Other duties as assigned


Exceptional customer service, organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex projects
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Must possess a high level of accuracy, self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a heavy workload
Ability to use multiple computer software programs
Professional phone etiquette

Commensurate with experience, education level, and Tennessee College of Applied Technology McMinnville salary guidelines.

Continuous use of a computer
Normal standing, sitting, and walking
Lifting of boxes weighing approximately 40 pounds
Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed
Must be willing to work additional hours and travel as necessary
