Audio/Video Production Assistant
Looking for someone who will assist in the setup, operations and other production needs for our local radio show. You will need technical production and engineering skills, and you will be instrumental in developing our program!
Have experience in all aspects of audio equipment, including familiarity with audio editing programs; experience in Adobe Audition (or an analogous program!); and the ability to troubleshoot quickly.
While our show is syndicated as a radio program, we have also implemented video. Candidate will be working with OBS (Open Broadcast Software), lighting and green screens, and will be trained on set up for the video portion of our show, but experience is a plus.
We are currently in the process of further syndicating our show. Any knowledge in podcasting, show development, marketing, or sales experience would allow for future opportunities to expand your role.
SKILLS: Ability to work independently and with a team; effective organizational skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; driven and goal-oriented; excellent English, both verbal and written; and solid leadership skills.
COMPENSATION: Flat rate per show. Initially, you will be compensated $25.00 per show during the training period, and then $50 a show after the training period. Candidate will have the opportunity to increase their pay after a period of time. We need to see the candidate complete the training phase and assess if the show is running smoothly; at that point, an increase in pay will be considered.
HOURS: Our show is every Saturday and airs from 11am-12pm, Pacific time. Set-up would start at 10am, and we would complete around 1pm. Some Saturdays may extend until 2 pm on days we have double shows. Candidate will be working 2-3 Saturdays each month, alternating every other Saturday with another producer. We have pre-recorded shows for major holidays, so you will have those days off. The studio is located in Huntington Beach.
Note: All payments are done through direct deposit. Payments are made the first of every month. You will need to have a zelle account for the direct deposit.
