The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, (the Corps) is the largest, oldest and most visible student organization and leadership training program at Texas A&M University. It is one of the largest uniformed bodies of students in the nation that produces leaders of character for the United States Military and industry. The Corps provides

The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation of the Corps of Cadets First Year Experience program. Position Details – this is a part-time position.
Proposed minimum hourly rate: $22.00

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years of program administration and/or coordination experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Corps of Cadets structure
Programs – Plans and implements Corps of Cadets First Year Experience events such as presentations, training, planning meetings and workshops. Assists in recruiting and training course peer mentors. Assists in preparation and monitoring of program budget and program certification process. Develops and updates training materials and deliver training sessions. Evaluates and assesses programs to ensure they support the program’s mission.
FYEX Course Facilitation – Delivers course material to multiple sections of FYEX course. Works to maintain and improve course modules. Provides resources and referrals when necessary.
Records – Maintains program records, statistics and databases. Assists with the creation of student success plans. Performs other duties as assigned.
