Job Summary

**MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
This position is responsible for assisting the Records Center lead worker in managing the MnDOT Records Center so that MnDOT staff receive requested records in an accurate and timely manner. Duties include responding to records requests; entering and tracking records data into database; assisting in the destruction of records according to the retention schedule; and training MnDOT employees on how to prepare materials to send to offsite storage.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Skill in data entry sufficient to enter information into various databases and view information.
Ability to read, write, and understand spoken English sufficient to maintain records, files, and other documents and assist customers.
Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers and staff in person, on the phone, and through email and other written correspondence.
Software skills (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) sufficient to develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports and schedule meetings.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this job will vary, but may include:

Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
