Location/Wage/Schedule and Perks:

The position is in Golden Valley, MN. The schedule is full time Monday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional evenings as needed to complete projects. Our starting salary is $19.23-$20 per hour DOQ and we offer a full benefits package.

About the Position:

The goal of our Social Media Specialist is to achieve excellent customer engagement, create engaging posts on social media platforms, drive website traffic and revenue utilizing social media marketing. The Social Media Specialist should have a solid understanding of each social media channel and be able to optimize the content so that it is engaging per each channel. In this role you will be working with six of our companies which each have their own goals and branding. The position will require ability to create and implement social media calendars, writing engaging content for the different channels and our TV’s located in our corporate office lobby’s.

Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Create editorial calendars and manage calendars for Meridian Services, Orion Associates, Headwaters, Morning Sun, Orion ISO
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages customer engagement
Maintain and optimize company pages within each platform (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Facebook, Instagram) to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Monitor reader comments on social media platforms and work in coordination with supervisor for responses
Sourcing images and curate content
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Member of Employee Connections Committee
Create internal community engagement materials that come out of employee engagement committee
Creation of flyers and sharable communication for internal communication
Assisting in creating creative posts and social media messaging to draw job candidates
Source opportunities to market open positions online and create candidate pipelines

About the Ideal Candidate:

Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist for over 6 months.
Prefer experience handling multiple organizations or projects
Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Creative writing skills
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
BS in Communications, English, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred.
Successful clearance from a DHS Background Study
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving background per Orion Associate’s policy. This position includes driving to different corporate locations and to meetings at times.
