SCOPE OF ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and supporting the Clinical Leadership Team, the Specialist, Clinical Content documents the clinical workflows, protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines necessary to provide safe, effective, and efficient clinical care. They may also be involved with creating job aids and training materials to ensure successful implementation of new clinical processes and building solutions within the electronic health record to support clinical functions. This person is an expert at clear, concise writing and creating intuitive flow charts. They have a clinical background and ensure that the workflows they’re building meet or exceed the clinical standards set forth by Signature Health’s clinical leadership team.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED ____________________________________________________________________

Define and document clinical workflows to ensure consistent operations that promote patient safety.
Partner with clinical leaders to:
Create a set of standardized templates for workflows, protocols, and other relevant clinical guidance documents.
Create a set of standardized content to support implementation such as job aids and training materials.
Create a standard workflow archive; a “source of truth” for all clinical workflows and content to support implementation.
Develop a standardized system to incorporate feedback to improve the content, maintain version control, and ensure timely revisions.
Using SharePoint, categorize documents in an easily accessible and intuitive manner, ensuring that outdated information is identified and removed or updated.
Coordinate creation of a quarterly clinical newsletter, summarizing key content and highlights by clinical leadership.
In collaboration with Clinical Leadership, responsible for maintenance and revision of all clinically-focused policies and procedures.
Participate in clinical content building projects, in collaboration with the EHR team, as needed to support workflow standardization.
Draft, develop, and finalize content that can be leveraged across audiences, including clinicians, support staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
Partner with Marketing to assist with creating or reviewing clinical content for internal or external marketing communications.
Promote adherence to all Signature Health documentation governance standards.
Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
Maintain all aspects of HIPAA, promoting patient confidentiality and right to privacy.
May be required to perform telehealth services as determined by Signature Health.
Adherence and completion of compliance training provided by Signature Health.
Responsible for and completes all productivity/documentation requirements.
Participate in all assigned staff meetings and staff development programs.
Demonstrate appropriate attendance and punctuality in adherence with Signature Health policies.
Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ______________________________________________________________

Valid unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years working in clinical care delivery (e.g. as a scribe or medical assistant) required.
2+ years of demonstrated experience writing and building clinical workflows in an EHR application (EPIC preferred) that communicate complex medical concepts and programs to engage multiple learners (patients, physicians, nurses, MAs, etc.) required.
Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
Strong written communication skills are a must, with the ability to concisely articulate complex workflows and write plainly and effectively with audience health literacy in mind.
Microsoft Office suite experience with advanced SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio skills with demonstrated skilled use of workflow documentation tools (Visio, Google slides, etc.) required.
Graphic design, video content creation, and/or other communication modality experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS ___________________________________________________________________

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/clinical work environment.
While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required.
Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work.
Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone or through telehealth technology.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Physical effort required: occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted.
Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing job duties.
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday.
Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
