Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the International Team.
The primary responsibilities of the jobholder is to drive FX volumes/revenue from resident / non-resident customer remittances / other Foreign Exchange (FX) products.
To manage and enhance the FX product, proposition and process. Key deliverable is to build process efficiencies, drive digitisation and automation.
Drive FX penetration, RM Productivity (activation and volume per RM) and average FX per customer, across the WPB portfolio.
Use of analytics to develop and administer Customer Life Cycle Management (CLCM) initiatives. Drive and track business outcomes from CLCM triggers.
Work closely with key HSBC corridors, across the globe, to drive higher corridor FX transfers and higher capture rates.
Build and manage strategic partnerships to drive FX volume growth.
The role is also to formulate and drive strategy and initiatives for generating FX income and increasing FX volume, while maintaining desired margins.
To ensure that the AOP targets on Fx, revenue and cost income targets are met / exceeded. To maintain the prescribed cost-income ratio of the product by adopting various cost management initiatives and developing new income lines.
To streamline revenue leakages and build more cost efficient business model. To prepare the Forex AOP plan in line with group’s objective and strategy.
Use of analytics to arrive at relevant models for decisions on pricing /charging for customer segments on FX
To manage the rates and product mix as per the regulatory, internal, balances sheet and market driven guidelines
Ensuring timely and comprehensive business metrics and analytics support to the frontline teams for measuring performance and identifying opportunities
Launch of marketing campaigns for customers with a focus on generation of FX volume from campaigns
Launch Tactical campaigns across the network to drive FX volumes and penetration.
Educational Qualifications / Certification and Requirements:
Master degree degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 5 years of relevant or banking experience.
FEDAI certified preferable. Else candidate has to clear FEDAI certification within two months.
Strong compliance sense to external regulatory requirement and internal guidelines
Strong motivation, commercial awareness and communication skills
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
