About the Role:
OpenTech Alliance is looking for a talented, self-directed Content Specialist who loves to create written content that connects with customers and brings the OpenTech brand to life. The Content Specialist will work with the Marketing, Product and Sales teams to create valuable content in support of various marketing initiatives to establish credibility, acquire new customers, upsell existing ones, and drive loyalty.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing exceptional written content that engages customers and prospects throughout the buyer’s journey. You are a natural storyteller, aim to simplify to get the most impact, use various communication formats and vehicles well, and are an exceptional writer with an eye for design.

Essential Job Functions
Core duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
Work with product, customer service and sales to deeply understand the buyer persona, buyer’s journey, messaging, positioning, and value propositions
Develop content strategies for specific segments and campaigns
Work with subject matter experts to create marketing and thought leadership assets, including industry white papers, articles, blogs, infographics, e-books, email campaigns, video storyboards and narratives, web content, multimedia presentations, newsletters, brochures, social content, datasheets and more
Build supplementary assets from core assets
Work with the digital marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content implementation
Maintain a repository of content/assets for key topics, segments, audiences, solutions/products, and buyer’s journey phases.
Stay abreast of key industry and market trends, news, and topics
Ensure brand consistency across all tactics
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure content is engaging and effectively meeting content goals with a focus on driving inbound organic leads and conversion
Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key content metrics and consumer analytics to optimize content to improve campaign effectiveness
Recommend content strategy adjustments to meet changing marketing and competitive conditions
Must be self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative and innovative approach for leveraging content to create new assets, repurpose for multiple communication vehicles and tailor to different audiences
Experience working with marketing automation tools (e.g. Marketo), content management systems (e.g. WordPress) and customer relationship management systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)
Good knowledge of content layout and design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Good knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media
Familiarity with full Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements * Regularly uses a keyboard to interact with computer system
Regularly required to communicate verbally and present publiclyEducational/Training Requirements
Bachelor’s degree focused in Communications, Literature, Marketing, or similar field
3-5 years of content development experience in B2B technology, preferably in software, SaaS or cloud businesses.
Proven track record of developing effective and compelling content
Previous experience in self-storage industry is a plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
